Welcome,

The German Shorthaired Pointer Club of Northern Sacramento Valley was established in 1965.  We are a non-profit group of dedicated men and women whose sole interest is to help promote fellowship, cooperation, and friendship among those involved with this sporting breed. We encourage high standards in breeding, training, and performance of the German Shorthaired Pointer in all endeavors, including field, hunting, show, obedience, tracking, agility, and rally. In this spirit, our club is constantly striving to keep the breed forever a truly versatile dog. The club welcomes all recognized pointing breeds, provides opportunities for owners to enhance their skills, has training facilities at Mather Regional Park available for members, and conducts AKC-sanctioned Field Trials, Hunt Tests, and Dog Shows throughout the year. We are located in Sacramento, CA, and have members across Northern California and Western Nevada.
